End of Season Awards

North County

Saturday saw our annual End of Season awards day, with a huge turnout from all our juvenile players and parents. The younger kids had plenty of fun and enjoyed a cricket blitz and plenty of mini games on a beautiful day in Inch, before we moved inside to celebrate the achievements of our youth teams and players this season. Congratulations to all our award winners from yesterday

and everyone who contributed to a memorable season at North County! All our award winners were presented with their trophies by Eddie Richardson.

There was also a fantastic surprise for our girls team, who were confirmed as the winners of their league on Saturday. Everyone at the club is delighted with the growth in the number of girls playing at the club and it is great to see all of the players who are in their first season get off to a successful start. Captain Chloe and all the girls are pictured here with the trophy!

Of course all of this success and the enjoyable season we have just had would not be possible without the hard work of a number of people. John and Joey, our incredible groundsmen have put in an extraordinary amount of work this year and have already begun preparations for next year! Our coaches Eddie and Yassar, this season's overseas pro, dedicated a lot of time to training all the juvenile teams this year, as well as Joe McBride who has done a great job in organising fixtures, selecting teams, umpiring, scoring and doing everything he can to facilitate the games. A special mention to our secretary Paula Hickey, who puts in unbelievable hours to the club behind the scenes and does a lot of work that often goes unnoticed. Paula was presented flowers by Club Chairman Joe Murphy as a token of gratitude for her work!

That concludes the cricket season for 2019 at North County. It has been a really enjoyable year for everyone involved and a big thank you must go to everyone who has helped make this season so special. We hope to see you all soon for pre-season training!
