We are delighted to announce that John Mooney has been named as Senior Coach for North County for the 2020 season!
John is of course a former North County player and ex-Ireland international, who won 182 caps for Ireland and appeared in three ICC World Cups. More recently, he has spent time coaching with the Afghanistan, West Indies and Denmark national teams.
In response to this exciting news, 1st Team captain Eddie Richardson said “It’s great to have Johnboy back home. He will lift the standard of the players’ performances all round. He has always had a great work ethic which we hope he will instil throughout the club. All the players are looking forward to working with him.”
Everyone at the club is delighted that John is coming back to his roots and we are looking forward to the vast array of knowledge and expertise he will bring to the role!
