Last Saturday, we had a presentation to thank David O'Connor for his generous ongoing support which enabled us to set up our new Scorers' Hut this year.
Club Chairman, Joe Murphy and President, Miranda Andrews thanked David for his continued dedication to the club. They both expressed that his support is greatly appreciated and does not go unnoticed by all of the players, coaches and parents in the club.
David noted that his part was the easy part and that the real work was completed by John Andrews and Joey Mooney, who worked tirelessly to ensure the move of the scoreboard and building of the hut were completed in time for the start of the season.
Scorer Angela Mooney thanked everyone involved and noted that the new scorers' hut was fantastic, with all required facilities and a full elevated view of the ground. Angela said she really appreciated comfort and privacy the hut allows when scoring, and noted that the hut was up there with the best facilities available in any ground in the country.
