We are delighted to announce that Ryan Gallagher has joined for North County for the 2021 season. The all-rounder joins from Strabane CC, where he has played for the last number of years.
Speaking to Cricket Europe today, he said: "It's a move I've been contemplating the past few seasons, and I've had a number of conversations with Eddie Richardson.
"When John Mooney became Head Coach it was a no-brainer for me. I trained last winter four or five times with them but didn't play due to the pandemic.
"I'm really looking forward to the new challenge, and having played three seasons previously in Dublin, I know what to expect, and am excited by the squad we are putting together.
"I've no doubt we will bounce back to the top flight and hopefully be in the mix for the later rounds of the cup competitions, bringing some silverware back to Inch."
1st Team captain Eddie Richardson said: "It's great to have a player like Ryan joining us. As a spinning all-rounder he is just what we need as a player, and will fit in well with the lads."
Senior Coach John Mooney added: "After the disappointment of our overseas pro not coming its great to get Ryan to play for us. He is a spinning all rounder and one of the best fielders in the country, making him an important player for us in all three areas."
